Questions first, then the bill.

How the membership example works, what to ask your plan, and how paying at the visit works here.

What decides where in a range your fee falls

  • Which tooth, and how much of it needs treatment.
  • How many surfaces or visits the treatment takes.
  • The materials chosen, where there is a choice.
  • Findings from your exam and X-rays, which can change the treatment that is recommended.
  • Anything listed under "Does not include", which is quoted separately.

Brazos Street membership plan

USD 29a month, USD 348 if kept for all 12 months

The practice's own in-house plan for one person. It is not insurance. Known fees are 15% lower for members, rounded to the nearest USD 10.

  • Two routine visits within the 12 months, if clinically appropriate.
  • Emergency visits are discounted, not included.
  • Gum care is quoted separately; no automatic discount on an unknown fee.
  • Not combined with insurance. Manual renewal only.
  • No child, family or periodontal tier is offered in this example.

Fictional policy: contact the front desk to cancel future months; benefits end with the last paid month. A routine visit is an exam, a routine cleaning and the standard X-rays your dentist says you need.

Ready to book?

Choose the days that suit you and the front desk calls to set a time. A dentist confirms your treatment and cost at the exam.

Insurance

Six questions to take with you.

The Cost Counter never works out what a plan covers. Its Dental insurance option shows a self-pay reference only. Ask these instead, and tick them off as you go. Nothing here is saved or sent.

Insurance and cost questions

A benefits estimate is not a guarantee of payment. This fictional practice has no verified insurer affiliations or financing partner.

Costs and membership

Paying at your visit

  • You pay at the visit, by card, check or HSA/FSA card.
  • There is no financing.
  • To cancel an appointment, ask at least 24 hours ahead. There is no fee.
  • If you are not using insurance, you can ask for a Good Faith Estimate before agreeing to care.

Using dental insurance

Your plan's benefits decide what you pay. Ask about the exact plan and dentist, allowed fee, deductible, waiting period, remaining annual maximum and exclusions. The membership plan on this page is not insurance and is not combined with it.
